The Kintyre Way

Take a walk on the wild side!

Welcome to the Kintyre Way, one of Scotland's Great Trails

Go Wild in Kintyre! Walk the beautiful coastlines of the Kintyre peninsula on the Kintyre Way. More island than mainland, the unexplored Kintyre peninsula of Argyll and Bute boasts hidden coves, deserted beaches along the wild Atlantic and Kilbrannan Sound coastlines, tiny fishing communities and gentle hills. Along 100 miles over 4-7 days you will also discover woods and forests, castles and an abundance of wildlife. Stretching from Tarbert in the North to Machrihanish in the South, the waymarked Kintyre Way criss-crosses the entire peninsula. The seven graded & way-marked sections offer a variety of walking terrain from serious hiking to gentle rambles. So why not join us and take a walk on the wild side?
